Martín Berasategui: On top of the world

With the recent awarding of the 2017 Michelin Stars for Spain and Portugal, Spanish chef Martín Berasategui has once again solidified his position as the Spanish chef that has received the most stars from this venerated guide.

The most recent of course was the third Michelin star recognition for his Barcelona venture, Lasarte, which relies on the day to day leadership of executive chef Paolo Casagrande.

This restaurant, the first to receive three stars in Barcelona, joins the ranks of eight other Spanish restaurants that boast this distinction. They are Akelarre, Arzak, Azurmendi, DiverXO, El Celler de Can Roca, Quique DacostaSant Pau and Berastegui’s flagship restaurant Martín Berasategui.
