Sometimes it’s nice to take a moment and recognize greatness, just because we can.
Spanish chef Andoni Luis Aduriz is nothing if not incredibly deserving of such recognition.
From his two-Michelin-star restaurant Mugaritz, located just outside the town of Errenteria, about 24 miles from San Sebastián, Aduriz has forged a singular culinary universe wherein herbs, flowers and other symbols of nature, mingle with a thoughtful, philosophical and, of course, incredibly skilled approach to haute cuisine.
Currently ranked the seventh “Best Restaurant in the World” on the prestigious annual list compiled by Restaurant magazine, Mugaritz is the most faithful expression of Aduriz’s widely recognized culinary genious, but this chef has also cast his net of gastronomic influence further afield, lending his unique vision and expertise to projects like the Michelin star Le Domaine Abadía de Retuerta restaurant, among others.
