Flavors of Murcia!

icex0023360The best artichoke I’ve ever eaten in my life was at the restaurant La Taberna Pequeña in Murcia.

I couldn’t tell you exactly what they did to make this whole, fresh artichoke so delicious, but I do know that when I tried to order another one, they told me that the limit was one per customer, per visit.

Wonderfully flavorful and delicious fruits and vegetables like artichokes are easy to come by in Murcia, a region that is known for fruits including pears, peaches, plums, lemons, oranges, grapefruit and table grapes, and vegetables like both fresh and canned tomatoes, peppers, potatoes and onions, as well as Spanish spice pimentón.

Add beautiful beaches to the mix and then put Murcia on your agenda for a visit!
