With a winemaking history that dates back more than 3,000 years, the wines of the Mediterranean region of Alicante have held fast to age-old winemaking wisdom, grape varieties and tradition, in every sense of the word.

At the same time, DO Alicante wines are powering through the present and into the future with the other eye on innovation and modernity.

Regardless, the underlying theme has always been and will continue to be the same: quality.

This Mediterranean region brings traditional wine styles like Fondillón de Alicante and Mistela, together with more recent planting of international grape varieties, a well-developed ecotourism market, and a range of other initiatives.
