DO Vinos de Madrid

With the official festivities in honor of Madrid‘s patron saint San Isidro wrapping up this past  Monday (the actual Saint’s Day was on May 15th), I thought “What better way to bid adios to this annual celebration than with a glass or two of any of the number of fantastic wines from Denomination of Origin Madrid?”.

The truth is, it’s always a good time to talk about DO Madrid wines. We proved that awhile back with our post on Bernabeleva, the San Martín de Valdeiglesias winery whose wines are steadily racking up awards and followers around the world.

But Bernabeleva isn’t the only winery in Madrid that has been making a name for itself both in Spain and beyond. In fact, there is plenty going on in all three of Madrid’s wine-producing subzones.
