Every year when the winter holiday season rolls around, I find myself eagerly looking forward to the prospect of consuming large amounts of Spanish Cava.
Delighted with, frankly, everything about this Spanish bubbly, I invariably ask myself why I don’t make a point of consuming copious amounts of this quality sparkling wine year-round.
Well, this year I’ve been making good on my promise! After all, there is so much variety to be found within Denomination of Origin Cava (the only Spanish wine designation not tied to only one specific geographic area), that it would be hard to get one’s fill of it.
In fact, one of the most wonderful things about Spanish Cava is that there are so many different and wonderful wineries to choose from, each with its own traditions, styles and selections.
If you’re unsure of where to start, one option might be to begin with a historic Spanish Cava maker like Juvé&Camps. Founded in 1796 and still family run, Juvé&Camps is not only an iconic Spanish winery, but also one that is synonymous with quality and dependability.
