The holidays!!!

A time for good friends and family, good food and of course, all of the wonderful candies, pastries, confections and other desserts that make the holiday season in Spain so very very sweet!

But what about adding an extra level of sweetness to your holiday desserts in the form of Spain’s wide variety of fantastic dessert wines?

Moscatel, Malvasía and Pedro Ximénez are just a few of the grapes that might come to mind when you think of Spanish dessert wines, but the truth is that this is just the tip of the iceberg in a country that has so many different wine making regions stretching from north to south, and east to west.

Of course some of the most traditional Spanish dessert wines come from regions like DO Málaga – Sierra de Málaga, DO Jerez-Xérès-Sherry and DO Montilla-Moriles, but there is a whole world of Spanish dessert wines to discover, and nowhere better to do it than in this article Spanish Dessert Wines Old and New, on Foods and Wines from Spain.
