Becoming a parent has made me increasingly aware of the food that I put into my child’s mouth. Where does it come from? What conditions was it grown/bred/cultivated in? Who made it and what kind of good practices do they follow? It is a big responsibility, and my only wish is try to do the best I possibly can (without getting too obsessed).
Of course one thing that I often look for when it comes to food products is whether something is produced organically or not. Fortunately, it has been getting easier and easier to find organic agricultural products in Spain, while surging demand for these items is making them more and more more accessible in terms of price, variety and availability.
In fact, a recent study by the European Union’s Organic sector indicates that Spain leads the European Union in terms of organic cultivation.
