El Celler de Can Roca Best in the World!

This was a big week for Spanish restaurants, with El Celler de Can Roca (Girona) returning to the number one, most coveted spot in the annual “World’s Best Restaurants” ranking published by the UK’s Restaurant magazine.

Brothers Joan, Jordi and Josep Roca, the chef, pastry chef and sommelier (respectively) of this acclaimed restaurant, were out in force at Monday night’s celebration in London, as were other members of the Spanish culinary elite whose restaurants made this year’s Top 100 list.

In addition to El Celler de Can Roca, the following nine Spanish restaurants were selected this year: Mugaritz (6th), Etxebarri (13th), Arzak (17th), Azurmendi (19th), Quique Dacosta (39th), Tickets (42nd), Diverxo (59th), Martín Berasategui (61) and Nerua (68th).
