Tomorrow is the Día de San José (Saint Joseph’s Day) or Father’s Day here in Spain, a national holiday that is all about celebrating dear old dad.
No matter where you are in the world, there’s little doubt that one of the best ways to show your dad that you appreciate him is with some delicious Spanish gastronomic products, including Spanish Ibérico ham and sausages and, of course, Spanish wine!
If you’re in Spain, try getting some ideas from the list of gourmet shops located across the country, that can be found in the “Spain for Foodies” section on the Shop, Travel, Dine page on Foods and Wines from Spain.
Bodegas Santa Cecilia, for example, is always a good place to go if you’re in Madrid, for a large selection of wines from all over Spain. The shop also has a small, gourmet food section with cheeses, cured meats, olive oils and more, if you’re interested in one-stop shopping.
If you find yourself outside of Spanish borders, check out the “Out of Spain” section, also found on the Shop, Travel, Dine page, and find links to stores that sell Spanish products all over the world, like Toronto’s Sen5es, where shoppers can find a wide range of their favorite Spanish foods and wines.
Of course another option is to shop online, on one of the sites found in this article about Spanish Shopping online.
Happy Father’s Day!
