Sardines with rosemary, Cebreiro cheese, berries, figs and greens / Toya Legido – ICEX

In the last post I introduced the world of Spanish figs and mentioned how delicious and versatile these quality Spanish products are. Whether fresh or dried, made into preserves or other sweet or savory dishes, Spanish figs provide an endless list of recipe ideas that are sure to suit any palate.

Therefore, to continue with this theme and send you off with some great food ideas for your weekend, here are two very different recipes from top Spanish chefs using Spanish figs:

Roast Almoharín figs with chestnut ice cream and vanilla cream (Higos de Almoharín asados con helado de castañas y cremoso de vainilla), from Toño Pérez of Atrio Restaurant in Cáceres (Extremadura)

and

Sardines with rosemary in movement with Cebreiro cheese, red berries, figs and touches of green (Sardinas al romero en movimiento con queso Cebreiro, frutas rojas, higos y toques verdes), from Montse Estruch of El Cingle Restaurant in Barcelona.

Happy cooking!
