With popular Spanish sheep’s milk cheeses like Queso Manchego stealing the limelight, Spain’s excellent, quality goat’s cheeses don’t always get their just desserts.

But these fabulous products are not only popular here in Spain, but also in international markets.

Three such Spanish goat’s cheeses are the Castilian Monte Enebro cheese, from Avila; La Garrotxa cheese from Girona (Catalonia); and Queso de Murcia al Vino, from Murcia, which is typically soaked in local red wine.

In addition to these more internationally well-known Spanish goat’s cheeses, there are, of course, many others.
