Post-holiday blues?

Just because it’s time to get back to work, it’s not too late to do something nice for yourself!

If you happen to be in Madrid, one idea might be to take yourself and friends or family out to dinner at one of the Spanish capital’s fantastic restaurants.

However, if you’ve overindulged over the long weekend, you might want to try a restaurant that specializes in serving wonderful Spanish vegetables, such as Chef Rodrígo de la Calle’s restaurant in Madrid’s Hotel Villamagna.

Opened a little over a year ago, this restaurant is an homage to de la Calle’s famed gastrobotanical culinary movement, which puts the spotlight on dishes emphasizing vegetables, rices and sustainable fish and meats.

Other vegetable “heavy” dining options include the city’s La Manduca de Azagra restaurant,  dedicated to preparing excellent vegetables from the orchards and gardens of Navarre, as is the city’s relative newcomer La Huerta de Tudela, among others.
