Valentine’s Sweets for your Sweetheart

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I always think of Valentine’s Day as a holiday for children; cutting hearts out of red and pink construction paper and transferring your very first inklings of romantic love into notes that you give your classmates – or maybe just one classmate in particular.

However, a friend of mine once told me, “everyone loves love”, and though her intention at the time was to be rather tongue-in-cheek about the whole thing, it’s a phrase that’s stuck with me all these years.

So, if everyone, no matter how old or young, loves love, I thought I would end the week with a few special Valentine’s Day recipes that are also in keeping with the idea that everyone loves dessert and … cheese.

Cheesecake, cheese mousse, cheese custard… any one of these delicious Spanish recipes would be a perfect end to any Valentine’s Day meal:

Lemon cheesecake with Burgos soft cheese (Tarta de queso de Burgos y limón)

Spanish cheese mousse (Mousse de queso cremoso español)

Cheese custard (Quesada)

Spanish Very Berry Cheesecake (Tarta de queso con frutas del bosque españolas) – I’ve featured this one on the blog before, but it’s just so irresistible…

Enjoy!
