One of my favorite food fairs of the year is the annual Biocultura fair that takes place every fall in Madrid.
This year’s edition will be from November 14th – 17th.
Now in its 29th year, this fair brings together the best of organic food products from Spain and abroad, with items like organic meats, cheeses, olive oils, fruits, vegetables, breads, sweets and other gastronomic fare.
What I really love about this event, in addition to the excellent products, of course, is that this fair attracts distributors, retailers and restaurateurs, as well as regular people who are looking to take home these specialty products.
Well, this October, Biocultura will have an additional, new location, this time in Bilbao. Starting today and lasting through the weekend, Biocultura will open its doors at the Bilbao Exhibition Center, welcoming 250 exhibitors (40% of which represent the food and agriculture industry) and an anticipated 20,000 visitors.
This new edition will join the other Spanish cities of Barcelona and Valencia where this fair is also held, in April and February respectively.
