Video: La Latina Tapas and Festivities

The historic Madrid neighborhood of La Latina is gearing up to celebrate its annual holiday tomorrow, August 15th, on the day that marks the Virgen de la Paloma saint’s day.

Although the actual holiday is August 15th, the neighborhood festivities are spread out over several days, filling this classic central barrio of Madrid with folklore, traditional dress, dance, music and food, lots of food.

A great way to experience the Virgen de la Paloma festivities is by stopping by some of the area’s most classic tapas bars to sample both traditional and non-traditional tapas of all kinds.
