It’s time to work hard

14th March was an important date: the 15 participants in this training program set up by ICEX (Young Chefs Culinary Scholarship in Spain 2012) were reporting to the restaurants where they’ll be working until 14 June. They’ll then move on to their second placement, which is likely to be in another region of Spain, to continue with their training until September.

After a whirlwind three-week trip covering the length and breadth of Spain’s gastronomic geography, these young chefs will be beginning an intensive training period alongside great Spanish chefs and their sometimes numerous front-of-house, sommelier and kitchen teams.

We wish them good luck and lots of fun working hand by hand with great masters of Spanish avant-garde cuisine.
