Interview with Ivan

Ivan Berezutskiy visited Barcelona a few days ago to enjoy part of his prize for winning the 4th annual ICEX International Spanish Cuisine Contest. He and his girlfriend had dinner at El Celler de Can Roca, where he was attended by Joan and Jordi Roca top Spanish chefs.

The rest of the weekend they traveled across de Penedés county (Catalonia) visiting wineries in a tour organized by the Young Broherhood of Cava of Sant Sadurní. There he could learn a lot about this wine and have much fun (as you can see in the picture). Ivan was also sworn as member of this brotherhood who honours the culture of this ancient catalonian sparkling wine.

In his bussy weekend Ivan had time to have a chat in the hotel with the www.foodsfromspain.com correspondent Tara Stevens. The talked about his experience in the ICEX training program for foreign chefs in Spanish Gastronomy and his professionals plans back in Russia. This future has a Spanish taste.
